Christmas Day we packed up our stuff and headed over to celebrate Christmas with the Neir clan. Everyone was waiting for us to arrive to start the festivities. Brendon & Caleb read the Christmas story, we sang some carols and then the 19 kids were finally able to dive into opening their presents.

Since we were the last family to arrive in Hutchinson, there was not a room to be had in the Neir family inn, so my parents & Greg had arranged to have a fifth wheel in the driveway which was our spot to park our stuff. It was actually quite cozy and warm, and we were able to put the 2 youngest girls down for naps in there, away from all the chaos. Since we would lock the camper door, we told Meredith to just go up to the monitor and say "I'm awake now, come & get me" and she did! I also told her that if she was messing around after I layed her down, I would be able to hear that as well. Always a step ahead, she said, "But what if I am very quiet, will you still hear me then?"
