Owen has been on my case to get this blog going again. He is tired of looking at the last post for the 100th time. He tells me "Mommy, just think of it as your homework.....you gotta do it.......just like me! I never did like homework!! I am a procrastinator and then after while the project looks too hard, so I put it off even longer. I was just in a focus study group and left my homework for the last night. Phil helped bail me out......he's a teacher.....he's awesome with homework.....good thing for our kids.
So here we go........
Owen's class had a fieldtrip to the State Capital yesterday. They were even able to meet our new Governor Brownback and get a photo with him. He has been learning all the states/capitals and his final test is next week. THAT.... is the kind of homework I help out with......memorization......only 1 answer.....short & to the point.
Owen also just finished his first research paper....350 words....bibliography...
3 sources....typed on his own...on Dwight Eisenhower...he did a great job!

What was your homework for the focus study? i've never done one with homework, that sounds interesting...or was it just studying what you would be talking about? ha, guess i should have studied before my "go green" focus group! :)
