Owen is learning all kinds of things in first grade. It is fun to hear him talk about different things especially when he is enlightening his sisters.
~ He got one of Brooklyn's toy animals and was showing Meredith & Malia the 3 body parts - head, abdomen & thorax.
~ Malia left him a short note that said "I LOVE YOU OWEN". After seeing it, he said, "Now there are just 3 things wrong with that sentence" (only capitalize the first word, use a period, and something else but I can't even remember what it was.
~ He always seems to not hear me and says What? What did you say? So, I asked him if he had trouble hearing at school too and needed things repeated. He replied, "No, Mrs. Franklin only says things one time so we have to listen carefully." Well, I guess she has him trained better than I do!
~These are a couple of pictures from a field trip he just took to an old stagecoach stop. Among other things, he learned how to wash clothes the old fashioned way.
