Malia has changed so much this last year. She continues to be our early riser but has become quite good at getting out of her room quietly without waking Meredith. She should have no trouble adjusting to a school schedule next year because she is usually up the same time as Owen. She has a smile & dimples that will brighten anyone's day. She has a very tender heart and there were tears in her eyes when she saw her little baby sister get shots. When it comes to games or contests however, she is fiercely competitive and doesn't like to lose. She loves to color and draw and still wants to be an artist when she grows up.
We recently enrolled her in gymnastics and she loves it! Her first class was a trial one for those her age with little or no gymnastic experience. She did so well that the teacher had her finish 2 more weeks with that group and then moved her to the next level. It is so interesting to see how they teach them all the different elements.
Malia also loves listening to music & stories. It is fun to hear her with her headphones on in the back of the van singing along with one of her CD's. She takes after her Daddy in liking to have the windows down and the wind in her face when riding in the car.
She has also become quite helpful with Brooklyn and loves to entertain her baby sister and make her smile. She asks to help me cook now & then because she "wants to be a mommy when she grows up too".
Malia, we love you very much and are so thankful for the talents God has given you. You are a very special little girl!
