Family Weekend

A bunch of the Veer clan headed up to KC for our May/June birthday celebrating. We went out for Ethiopian food at the Blue Nile and it was wonderful of course. It was fun to see everyone and to hang out for the day!

I don't think Meredith hardly left Kalisa's side for the whole 2 days she was here - she loves her!

I was planning on getting a good pic of all the food platters when they came but by the time I remembered, the platters were pretty much licked clean. No, Doritos are not Ethi food, but the kids are a little suspicious of the "weird looking" and "spicy" food so they had sandwiches and chips instead. However, Malia & Brooklyn were eating a bit of the injera this time and Malia even put a little spicy sauce on it.

Brooklyn was slow in warming up to everyone this time but Andrew won her over finally!

Crazy boys!

Brooklyn & Grandpa

Oh, if we only lived closer to all the older cousins! Our kids would be begging us to go out so one of their cousins could babysit.

Caleb & Logan were good sports and played goalie for Owen so he could kick the ball as much as he wanted.

Gary & Kathy's family spent the night so we headed out to the Royals game on Sunday. Luckily, we were in the shade most of the time or we would have been TOAST!!!

Mercy Me gave a concert afterwards - first ever concert for the kiddos.

2 days with no naps and lots of activities leaves a little one very tired. We just carried her in and plopped her in bed, clothes and all. She didn't wake up until 14 hours later!
