We spent Friday evening at John & Melanie's house so all the kids (this includes Phil & John) could set off fireworks since it was legal in their fair city.

Brooklyn's fireworks experience didn't go much past the sparkler stage. She just didn't care for all the loud poppers & zingers.
She climbed into her carseat and buckled herself in and seemed to feel much safer in there. 
Snacks, drinks, & firecrackers - the best!
The big kahuna firecracker for the finale - it did not disappoint! We finished just in time too because we were cleaning up all the lawnchairs and debris as it started raining.
Owen was thoroughly enjoying starting as many of the fireworks as his dad would let him - getting a little too brave for my taste.
Meredith liked the smoke bombs the best because they were pretty and quiet

The story of Brooklyn buckling herself up in her car seat cracked me up! So cute. LOVED the pic of the kids in red, white and blue!
