The things she says

Brooklyn is very attached to her blanket, binky and little spotted dog, & squeak squeak (a little mouse). She would drag them around with her all day long if I let her, so we now leave them in her bed and she only gets them at nap/bedtime. However, even though I put them at the back of her bed where she can't reach them, she gets the stool or a box to stand on and sometimes finds a way to get them. Because she knows she only gets them at bedtime, her new line is "But I'm tired Mommy" - They do help her sleep well, but the time is fast approaching when we are going to have to break the binky habit. I don't look forward to it, but at least she will still have her blanket, dog dog, and squeak squeak.

Where I found Brooklyn after naptime - she said "I get out myself mommy". However, I think she must have taken a tumble because she doesn't want to show me how she did it and she hasn't tried it again - so we're still keeping the crib for now!

Where I put Brooklyn to bed for her nap

Brooklyn is also a very good eater. Most meals she cleans her plate up and asks for seconds before the other kids are even halfway done with their food. Tonight she was at the table finishing her dessert and I was upstairs getting others in the bathtub. When I came back down, she had her dessert gone and a mouthful of meat. She told me "I finished Bubba's pork chop" Owen had left all the edges of his pork chop on his plate (cuz they had a little "fat" on them) but Brooklyn didn't seem to mind at all. She also likes to rummage in the pantry and get her own snacks out, usually a cereal box or bag of chips. When I catch her, she looks at me and says "Its fine Mommy, its fine."

In the car, the kids like to call slugbugs when they see them - they usually say the car color, something that is that color, no returns, ( I'm not really sure why but they say b/c their cousins do and that means no one else can call it) and then at the end they say "I called it" just to make sure that everyone knows that they called it. It used to be just slugbugs but they have quickly gotten bored of that and now they pretty much call a whole myriad of vehicles including but not limited to - smart cars, mini coopers, ups trucks, fedex trucks, school bus'( i'm not sure how to make that word plural - busses??), convertibles, motorcycles and so on.

Brooklyn has caught on well and the other day blurted out - LELLOW NANA HUGBUG - NO TURNS - ME CALLED IT!

And there really was a yellow VW bug, we all got a good laugh!
