Memorial Weekend

The Lanker's came to stay with us for Memorial Weekend and I don't think we hardly stopped for 4 days but we had a great time. In the midst of all the fun, Greg even helped Phil get a new hot water heater installed in our house - hot showers all around now - even with company!!

Friday, we headed to Deanna Rose Farmstead with the kids. We had gone there together quite a few years back, but there have been a few cousins added in the meantime.

This fish that Owen caught got loose and there was quite a commotion on the deck as Owen wasn't about to pick him up, but Uncle Greg rescued him and tossed him back into the pond.

Malia tried her hand at fishing too. Uncle Greg stayed very busy getting worms on everyone's hooks.

She told me she wanted to ride the horse. I didn't think she would go through with it. The girl loves to change her mind. In fact, I think she changes her mind sometimes to see how Mommy reacts. She loves to drive me crazy. She did it though, and that look she is giving me almost says, "See Mommy, I told ya I wanted to ride a horse!"

Saturday was opening day for the Gardner pool so we all headed out there and enjoyed the sun, lazy river, & water slides. No camera that day, so no pictures.

On Sunday afternoon, Greg & Phil took the boys to the Basketball Experience at the Sprint Center.

Sunday evening, we all enjoyed the fireworks show down by Union Station

On Memorial Day the whole family invaded Roger & DeeDee's place. Daddy, Mommy, Liz & Grandma Tucker even made a day trip up to hang out with all of us. It was a bit rainy and overcast, but the pool was heated and none of the kids seemed to mind a bit.

Ok, it was a little chilly if you stayed out of the pool too long

Roger had to grill a bunch to feed all the invaders

Enjoying hamburgers & brats

This little pack of boys are all pretty close in age and they have the best of times when they all get together.
