Oh yes she did put something very tiny up her nose.....a little Russian nesting doll. She first came and told me there was blood on her kleenex. I told her nonchalantly she probably had some dried boogers in her nose and they would come out eventually. Fifteen minutes later she came back in tears to tell me the real story that indeed it was not boogers but a little doll piece that had "rolled up into her nose." I could not seem to find a working flashlight of course, so I just called the nurses line to see what we should do. They advised the ER - oh great!! Well, I then called our dr who was out to lunch but was told if I could see it in her nose, then he could probably get it out. Well, talk of going to the DR/ER was getting her very upset, so I told that she couldn't cry because I was scared she might aspirate it. Since she is the most fiesty of my kids when it comes to anything medically "ouchy", I decided it might be a better idea to take her to the Children's hospital urgent care on the off chance that any sedation would be necessary. :) After she was evaluated, her eyes kept watering and her nose kept running and then finally she sneezed! Praise the Lord, out came the little nesting doll. Meredith was extremely happy that we could just go home & so was I!

That little sweetie is going to wear out her guardian angel. :)
I like the "just rolled up into her nose" part :)
