Well, our last day in Colorado was a choice to climb to the peak of a 13,000+ ft mountain or stay at the lodge and take care of the little ones, do a little laundry, maybe a nap, relax on the porch with a coke, play some games etc. Well, I didn't really have to make the choice since I needed to stay with Brooklyn - Whew!! Phil, Owen & Malia plus several other cousins & aunts and uncles set out to conquer the mountain. They were able to drive up a little ways to the trail and then it was a 2.5 mile trek to timberline. Owen & Malia made it a little past timberline but were pretty much done by then. Phil & Grandpa stayed with all the kids that didn't hike to the peak. They had a beautiful view but did start to get a little bored after waiting for 3 hrs or so on the others. Meanwhile, back at the lodge the little ones jumped in Uncle Roger's blow up castle, played outside and then after lunch we put them down for naps and we adults played a looooong game of Phase 10.

Superman?! Who'd you steal that shirt from? :) Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Next time you're that close (4 hrs)...:)
