Room Makeover

The "After"

The "Before"

So long red doors & trim

Bye Bye Fairy - Owen couldn't wait to get his paint brush on you!

Hello Purple!! Malia plans to paint her house purple someday.

Phil truly has all the help he needs - and then some!

In the bunkbeds at last

Comfy sphere chair can fit all 3 of us. They already want to make their bed in this chair at night time.

Well, our plan was to get 2 rooms changed over before school started but instead we just finished one. School and soccer season is now here for 3 members of the family so Owen's room will have to wait until November. When we moved into this house, Owen of course moved into the NASCAR room but we decided it needed to be the shared girls room b/c it had 2 closets and one of them was REALLY big. We found some used bunkbeds which were just perfect and we also bought a used desk which we are still in the process of painting.

Our last interior painting project was our attempt to paint a 2 toned purple number in our previous home's dining room. (yikes) It was one of those projects that kept us going into the wee hours of the morning. Sooo, we were pleasantly surprised to whip off this room in 2 hours one night. (just the walls). Of course prior to that Phil had spent quite a bit of time painting all the trim & doors. (He did a fabulous job even replacing some dorky mismatched trim they had around one of the doors). He has much more patience than I, so when we painted the walls, he did all the brush work around the edges and I just went to town with the roller.

The girls love their room and now we just have to finish it off w/ some decals and more bright colored stuff. I'll post more pictures when we do.

Looks ever so special! I admire you for tackling these projects, but then, of course, you have so many helpers so what should I expect.?!
