summer baseball

Owen played machine pitch baseball again this last summer. He was a fast little base runner. In previous years it seemed he always hit the ball up the first base line. Because of this, he learned the need to drop the bat and run to 1st as fast as he could and he would have a 50/50 shot that the first baseman would bobble it or it would go through his legs. This year however, he hit a few more line drives and got more into the outfield, but he still ran to first as if his life depended upon it. He loved to slide into second base whenever he had the opportunity and his coach had him play shortstop the majority of the season, so he saw plenty of fielding action.
