The End of Summer

Yep, Meredith put that bribe of bubble gum for swim lessons to use and figured out how to blow bubbles.

Brooklyn wants to get outside every chance she gets. She loves to walk up and down the sidewalk in front of our house.

Owen & Malia love to ride or race their bikes together.

Brooklyn decided to try out a new ride

Uuuumm, this is the soybean field behind our house. Owen thought it would be fun to fly one of his planes out there. However, once it came down, he couldn't find it. So we asked him about where he was in the field. Hmmmm, he wasn't really sure. Phil helped him look up and down the rows for a while but in the end the plane was MIA.

They actually kind of ignored the sandbox this year till just lately, but now they are back to digging their trenches and burying their treasure.

The summer is almost gone (sigh), but it was memorable. The kids have been enjoying being outside with this very odd bit of fantastic weather in mid-August.
